Hunter Turns 8 months! & We Go to a Luau!

Hi All!
Some pics posted here are of Hunter for his 8 month "photo op" ... some cute ones of him being his "smiley" self, then eating a football (he's got big enough hands to play), and then sittin' cute with his big-boy shoes/sandals on in the sun room... and then we have some pix from Krista's friend and colleague Brigid Duffy's Big B-day Blowout/Shin Dig/Luau!

Hunter is becoming WAY more active, rollin' around his crib, sometimes whining in the night if crammed into a corner.... but he's such a cutie, we don't mind... Hunter is also not satisfied staying in one spot when he plays... he's reaching for things further away and ends up on his side or tummy often. A Thank you to Karen for giving us her old exersaucer... a much needed distraction and place for Hunter to play safely. It will NOT be long before he crawls we think... today, in fact, he was on his hands and knees on the floor in the crawling position ON HIS OWN mind you.... of course, he was not moving, just hangin' out... but we think it's time to baby proof!
Had a great time at Brig's luau as you can see... A thank you to Hunter's grandfolks who are always happy to babysit so we could do an adult fun nite. He adores you guys and we love and appreciate your help!

Let's Play in May & My First Mother's Day

Hello Again!
When it rains it pours... I have some more pix here... some from a play date with my good friend Mona's girls, Meredith and Tori. Mere is 3 and Tori is one month younger than Hunter, so she's about 7 months... we joke that Hunter and Tori are "betrothed" ;)
And there are some pix of Hunter "helping" Mommy cook... Krista was wrapping some corn on the cob for the grill and Hunter was fascinated by the tin foil... Wow, the mundane has officially become exciting! I made Hunter a tin foil crown because Goodness KNOWS he's our reigning Prince of Cuteness.
Then, of course, we have some nice shots of Mother's Day festivities... some with my mother and sisters at High Tea @ the British Pantry and then some pix of my lovely breakfast Charlie made for me... I just love sitting down with my 2 favorite men, Charlie and Hunter, on Mother's Day... and just enjoying their company. :) We also spent some time with Lyn and Dave on Saturday, but darnit, we forgot to take pix AGAIN!
Oh... lemme tell you! The BEST Mom's Day gift I got from Hunter was his great attitude all day long... he was a doll at church and then a giggle box all afternoon... but he got totally "punchy" last night and tonight... I mean he REALLY got himself worked up to a Riot! Hunter would just keep laughing and laughing as Mommy threw herself onto the bed after counting: "OK... ONE.... TWO....THREE! Wooopeee!" Gosh, it never got old! He was CRACKING up and so naturally I did it over, and over, and over, and over... Well, you get it. :) Charlie and I will try to videotape this giggle-fest ASAP and post it to a blog soon!

Hunter's Photo Session!

As I mentioned before... Hunter had his lil photo shoot with my student Asifa a few weeks back; it was for her Client Photo 3 Project...we were all too happy to be her(free) customers! Well, now she had edited the pictures and has given me permission to share some of the better ones with you :)
Now, I know I am biased, but dontcha just wanna reach into the pictures and SQUEEZE Hunter? That boy will soon learn he's too cute for his own good -- Mommy won't let him alone... mushing him all the time!

Hunter Turns 7 Months & We're Having Fun in April...

Hello All,
Had fun at Dad's b-day celebration with the Hennessey side... looks like we got Dad all liquored up for his b-day... not really, just re-stocked his cabinet since the man has most everything he needs these days -- albeit we could have bought him a private golf course, but so far $ doesn't come on trees.... Hunter had a great time hanging out with his cousins! Kara is just around his age and she UNDERSTANDS that it's all about lookin' good for the camera & she looked at my camera every time... Hunter hasnt quite gotten it yet. Cousins Aidan and Sean are super sweet with Hunter; Hunter is just about entranced when they are around. Aunt Karen had fun hamming it up w/ Hunter too.

Had fun celebrating Charlie's b-day too at his folks' house, but alas we forgot our camera and so still need to get copies of Charlie's Dad/Dave's photos, some of which are very nice since it was a GREAT, sunny day and his camera takes some nice pics! Charlie and I also had a date night at the Melting Pot to celebrate Charlie's b-day, but we forgot to get our picture there... too busy eatin' our hearts out on that yummy fondue. Then too miserably full to ask a waiter to take our picture afterwards!

Other photos posted here just include Mommy having fun with Hunter... he's got a big noggin so he can wear my sun glasses when it's real sunny, though I got a baby pair of sunglasses with blue cammo, very "hip"... and he will keep them on... without them he's like a gremlin with the bright sunshine! And since the weather has been nice we've walked a few days... sunny though still cool... but beautiful!

And we went to my great friend Hilary son's David Loder's b-day party and had a GREAT time! Mona and her girls were there... we joke that Hunter got to see his "betrothed"... you see Mona's daughter Tori, who was born only one month after Hunter, is such a cutie and Mo and I have been friends for so long, we thought it'd be a kick if our kids dated and fell in love, i.e. "Tori and Hunter sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G..." Well, this the best picture I got from David's party, but will post more separately from our playdate May 3rd...got some CUTE ones!

Oh and just an FYI, my student Asifa took some "baby with family" pics for her Photo 3 Class, which came out REALLY well... will post them in a separate blog b/c she is still editing them... but I have to brag on Hunter; this photo shoot was when Hunter was quite sick with a cold and you'd never know it looking at the pics. He IS such a trooper... very smiley despite the fact that he was feeling poopy.
