Picture People PHOTO Session

We took Hunter to the Picture People store to record his turning ONE YR OLD, and we ended up with a lot of great poses; we only have four here b/c we ended up giving some poses away to family right away... you know tons of wallets for the grandparents to whip out & brag!

Um, yeah... in the family shot, I look a little squinty, but whatever! I guess I look REALLY happy because I AM when I am with "my boys".

Hunter was a little ham for his photog session, albeit he was tired (we had to wait a little bit)... but the photographers there really know how to get the kids to smile and laugh. Apparently, these days (for some reason), Hunter gets a kick outta hearing people sneeze... So even if you fake a sneeze he's likely to think you're HILARIOUS! The photo lady understood this.

FYI: next time you come over, check out our walls... we have some HUGE framed prints in our house b/c that's Picture People's gimmick... they don't charge you for a sitting fee, but then you can't just order some prints on mere paper, that is ...NOT after they bring out a beautifully framed and matted, C-U-T-E picture of your kid looking like a Gerber baby. I may as well have "SUCKER" written on my forehead. We ordered 2 of the 3 frames they brought out. Sheesh.

Hunter's 1st Birthday Party Pics!

Hello!

We had a GREAT time celebrating Hunter turning ONE (though next yr he may just get a simple cake!)... a special thanks to my mom, Barbara, and Charlie's mom, Lyn, for helping so much with putting on this monkey-themed party for our Silly Little Monkey! It was chaotic party with lil kids running around but SO much fun! Hunter means the world to us and we are so thrilled to have family and friends to share in our joy.

12 months Photos!

Hunter is REALLY active these days... not walking YET, but is cruising with help of furniture... He is eating like a champ... and "talking up a storm" but most is unintelligible to us, except bye bye. (Oh Wait! He will say "HI!" occasionally if you hand him to phone to talk to Daddy!) Still, Hunter understands A LOT of the spoken word and can perform directions fairly easily.

Hunter's a great little "undresser" at night-night time... and he loves to laugh (esp. when Mommy puts the pajama pant bottoms on her head -- that's just wrong & SO silly)... he loves to explore (fridge, cabinets, drawers, you name it)... Hunter still loves to read...he LOVES to climb those stairs (esp when we're not lookin' -- you bet he'll make a bee line for them!)....and Hunter loves to climb on & off his toy ride-on truck(s)... and, in general, Hunter just LOVES to play! In fact, he plays with his "girlfriends" at daycare all day long... has learned from these older girls how to stack the graduated rings on the stand. Let's hope his affinity for smart (even if slightly older) girls stays!

I apologise for taking forever with these recent posts... work has been a little hectic w/ start of the new school yr in Sept... (being out last yr for maternity leave, I forgot how much the beginning of the yr STINKS until you get settled into a rhythm!) ...So there's LOTS to catch up on!
