Hello there!
Hunter and Mommy got to spend his 5 mo mark together since it was President's Day, Feb 18th, and a holiday off from school/work. YAY!
In the evening Daddy/Charlie filmed Hunter and we snapped pix of his first solid food experience -- rice cereal. It was uh "interesting" for Hunter ... it's odd because I am not sure he's a huge fan of swallowing solid food yet -- BUT he *will* grab at the bowl of cereal and spoon -- and he tries to grab at any food Charlie and I are eating!
As for what else we've been up to... well, we have not been exempt from being sick this season; Hunter and I have had two colds within 3 weeks... but today was a "snow/ice day" so at least Momma got to stay home with the lil sick cherub. Work is going well for both Charlie and Krista -- for Charlie things are a little slower with the housing market's decline and for me, it's picking up with the load of essay grading (God I miss the slower pace of maternity leave, though I do not miss the sleepless nights).
We've also just been hanging out with family and friends... We celebrated Krista's B-day in Feb w/ the ENTIRE family at Mom and Dad's for a lovely dinner & ICE CREAM PIE! (yum!) Also, Charlie and Krista got to hang out at Clyde's to celebrate her b-day with friends; then the next weekend, Feb 9, we went on a solo date at Carmello's to celebrate my b-day sans babe as well. (OK, I *might* like to milk my b-day, so what?! It's a great excuse to get together) But, gosh, it sure is wonderful that we have family so nearby to visit with & babysit; and man, do they seem to enjoy Hunter (& vice versa)!
We also celebrated our nephew Aidan's 6th b-day w/ a pizza party (hard to believe he's already 6... I remember when he was born for Pete's Sake... Ah, how time flies!) Anyhow... Hunter wasn't a fan of the loud noises that any six yr old kid's party will generate, though Hunter can certainly squawk up a storm at home, go figure!?
Also, I have been visiting more with some girlfriends of late... Kelly and Brig, high school friends, came over last weekend and enjoyed a little tickle session w/ Hunter -- they got to witness his "porkchop legs" and cute giggle. ;) Plan to see my VT girlfriends Carly and Cameron this weekend as well as my "BFF" at work, Hil, for a nice lunch!
Anyhow, that is about it.... We're anxiously awaiting Mimi and Bob's visit in March over my spring break from school. (Hunter's great grandparents) Should be a wonderful time!
Love to all,
Krista & Charlie
